Easy to install, works right away to kill microbes which look like dirt, but are not. Also helps to stop corrosion on metals and longer evaporator life. I am a retired A/C contractor in Florida and coil cleaning was the protocol in the past that is only a temporary fix. UV light is now the protocol.
